About Michelle Donaldson
Michelle Donaldson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual and couples therapy. Her practice is in Claremont, CA. Michelle also has experience as a Clinical Supervisor for therapists in training in her private practice and previously in a non-profit agency. She has been licensed since 1994, and has worked in the field of mental health for over 25 years.
Michelle has a Master’s of Science degree from California State University, Fullerton. She is a member in good standing with the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She also holds an approved supervisor designation with both of these organizations. Michelle has been trained as a couple communication instructor, and has extensive school based, private practice, and community agency experience working with persons of all ages. Her interests and experience include: adjustment to life transitions, healing from relationship pain, relationship enhancement, changing unhealthy behaviors, working with students and individuals who are experiencing concerns with mood or anxiety, supervision, parenting, and counseling those desiring positive personal growth. Michelle’s treatment approach can be best described as client-centered and integrative. She works with each person to build their strengths and develop goals that will increase life satisfaction. Michelle provides support and uses practical and solution focused ideas to help her clients face current concerns, and to heal unresolved past hurts with the ultimate goal of movement forward.
